One thing I see a lot these days is people being scared of what others will think of them. I mean, we’re all scared of that, even me . We’re afraid of being judged or laughed at. It’s kinda sad I think, that we judge each other because of our race, looks or actions. But even more so, we judge everyone else. And now don’t tell me that you’ve never seen a person and called them fat, even if you didn’t say it out loud. That already is a judgement. But what you don’t know is why they are overweight – they could be sick or they have to take medecine that has side effects for example. I could be cliché here and say not to judge a book by its cover ;)
Also, what good does it do to judge others, based on what you see and not what you know? All it does is create a belief in your mind that will repel you or attract you to that person. It’s like an illusion. Maybe that person you just judged as overweight is one of the friendliest people you would ever meet – but you won’t, coz they are not very attractive to you as they are overweight and you don’t like that. Make sense?
Wouldn’t it be nice if you could go out, wearing anything you want and not have people stare at you like you’re an alien? Or talking behind your back? Well, sadly you can’t really change that. However, you can change yourself and stop doing exactly this to others.
Or you can simply not care what people think. This makes life 1000 times easier, trust me. If you can walk around confidently, and not minding what people say about you, that will definitely raise your self esteem – but that will be a whole other blogpost ;)
Anyways, no one likes to be judged. Not me and not you. If you don’t like it, then don’t do it. There’s this other saying, that what you give out, you get back. So don’t give out any judging, or you’ll get it back :P
Have a great, non-judgemental day :)
