Fear Of What Others Think

I found this quote on Pinterest, and I find that this is completely true. We often become obsessed by worrying about what others think of us and how they judge us. We get scared that others won’t like us because of how we look like, what we do or who we are. We think and worry and worry and think about it until we get so worked up and practically build a prison of fear. Once in there it’s hard to get out. And once in there, we aren’t the same person. We have changed ourselves to fit society in hopes to be accepted and liked, and so we have diminished a beautiful, unique person, to become like everyone else.

Break out of that prison, be yourself. Love yourself for who you are, then you will attract those who love you for you. If you are scared to be judged, you will be judged. But if you don’t care, then it doesn’t matter. There will always be people who don’t think well of you, but that’s their problem and not yours. Be proud of yourself and let the fear go!

Have you found yourself in such a prison lately?
