30 day challenge – Days 1 & 2

It is now Day 2 of the challenge and I already feel better. I don’t feel a big difference physically yet, however, I do feel great mentally. This is due to the fact that I am easily resisting anything with sugar in it and I don’t give in to any temptation (at least not yet). Instead of indulging in the delicious fruit cake my mum made (sadly with sugar), I cut some carrots and cucumbers, mixed them with olive oil and lemon and had that for my dinner. I felt extremely energetic afterwards, and I was happy to have eaten such a healthy meal. It boosted my happiness level as I was proud of myself for eating so healthily. Usually when I tell myself I will eat healthy food only, it doesn’t last more than a day or two. So this feels like an accomplishment already.

Couscous Salad

Today morning I had a glass of orange juice (freshly pressed & nothing added) tasting amazing and providing me with energy. For lunch I had a delicious couscous salad which was absolutely great.

The lemon water is sending me to the toilet rather often, but I know that it is cleansing my body and detoxing it. Plus the lemon helps me get used to sour things (therefore I might prefer sour over sweet at the end of the month). Today for lunch I had a delicious couscous salad which tasted super fresh.

Meditating has helped me relax a little and the gratitude journaling makes me smile every night – so this is definitely great :)
